The Root Chakra, aka the Muldhara, The Red & First Chakra is our survival center! This is where our primitive self resides and our desire to "belong" lives. Wanting to belong has been a life-long search for me. Being adopted, I have had an ongoing desire to fit in. I feel that this stems from being "given up" which still carries shadows of not being "good enough". |
So as I navigate through this life, it is my mission to heal me from the inside out and convince myself that I am good enough and... that right where I am... is where I belong.
On good days this is a breeze but on not so good days, it is a challenge.

How do I know if my Root Chakra is blocked?
If your First Energy Center is blocked or closed you may feel insecure, fearful, anxious, worried, lack stamina and you may make poor dietary choices! Well fun...and...games...(she says with sarcasm). It is well worth working on this area if you are experiencing any of these symptoms.
It is about taking control of your life instead of being guided by your issues.
Yet if this Root Center is clear you may feel secure, self-confident, courageous, grounded, stable, centered and you take good care of your body. Woohoo!

The gems and stones that assist with clearing and healing the First power center are; Ruby, Garnet, Bloodstone, Red Calcite, Chiastolite, Mookaite Jasper, Jet, Lodestone, Red Jasper, Black Tourmaline, Black Obsidian, Snowflake Obsidian, Rose quartz, Smoky Quartz, Petrified Wood, Shungite, Hematite, Onyx and Tigers Eye.
The Essential Oils...
... that assist with Root Chakra Healing are; Ylang Ylang, Vetiver, Patchoulli, Cedar, Lavender, Sandalwood
Why not create your own root chakra spray??
Mix together the essential oils of Vetiver and Ylang Ylang with the stones; Red Jasper and Rose Quartz. Amp it up by adding in one of the flower essences listed below and shake and spray!
Spray this on your Root Chakra and feel the energetic shift!

... that assist with clearing the root are Clematis, Red Hibiscus and Madonna Blue.
Toning
The note to tone is "C" and the sound to use is "uh" as in "huh".
Spending time toning "uh" on the "C" will ease this power area open. The vibration of the sound will slowly and gently shake away the old stuck energy and you will feel more open.
Super Tip...
I like to complete a toning session with a healing visualization of bringing white light into my body, in order to fill up the holes/spaces that may be left behind from the old stuck energy moving out :)
